Welcome to our first meeting of 2008.  The topic for this month’s meeting is How to Improve Pro/E Performance from a user's perspective, as well as some highlights of features inside Wildfire 4.

David will be focusing on how to improve Pro/E performance through modeling approaches and assembly techniques.  Pro/E is a versatile tool with numerous ways to accomplish tasks.  Unfortunately, it is only through experience that one learns the most efficient ways to accomplish certain end results.  How you create certain features, and how you assemble components, can have a major impact on how long it takes to regenerate models, and how long it takes to complete projects.  Design and assembly approaches can have a ripple effect including how long it takes to access information in data management systems.  David will highlight approaches that can minimize the time it takes to regenerate models and assemblies and create more sound models more suited for reuse.

David Stewart is a Mechanical Engineer and co-founder of Zero Wait-State.  He roles include Application Engineer and Instructor for Pro/ENGINEER at ZWS.  Zero Wait-State is a VAR for PTC, plus offers many solutions and services for Pro/E users.  They have been a supporter of the CenTex PUG for many years.

Nelson Caperton a Senior Technical Specialist with PTC. Nelson is an experienced presenter and has incredible in-depth knowledge of Pro/Engineer.  He has given several presentations for the CenTex PUG.
